Umpqua Marines customized McKenzie style design incorporates a progressive rake and wide flare on the sides to keep you dry in even the roughest waters of the Northwest. Our design enables quicker turns and an easier rowing experience.   Comfort and Functionality is important so we’ve added that as well. We’ve applied our team’s wisdom and over 28 years of guiding experience to our Design. We consulted with numerous Fishing Guides in the Northwest to develop our Drift Boat concept and then put into our Drifter. The Drifter can be built with smooth sides or the popular Diamond Tread sides for additional strength and protection. Sides are typically .100 and our bottoms .125 for a superior drift boat. The balanced rake in the bottom of the Drifter has a great feel when taking on bigger water on Pacific Northwest Rivers.
